news: last updated December 1, 2008
The final Ex-Rental release is now available as a free download. Featuring a whopping 50 tracks (!), the virtual 'box set', Choreography: The Very Rest of Ex-Rental, compiles recordings and remixes spanning 1997 to 2007, and is divided into four loosely-themed volumes.
The 'box set' includes practically everything not on the Unpopular Pop album, with new mixes of old favourites such as And Sometimes and Professional Assistance, numerous rarities, plus many previously unreleased tracks. For a limited time, you can download all 50 tracks from the virtual 'box set' page.
And in case you're still thinking "the final Ex-Rental release?", here's why. Sean's decided to call it a day, as he recently became a father, and now has the new pleasure of singing daft songs to his son. So thanks very much to everyone who's been listening over the years - Choreography is dedicated to you all!
In the meantime, the fabulous Unpopular Pop album remains available as a free download. It features all of the very best Ex-Rental songs, plus exclusive bonus remixes by Bis, Soundhog and Blow-Up. If you haven't already got it, download your copy from the album page!
And in other recent news, Blow-Up have posted the video for Ex-Rental's remix of their "On The Prowl" track featuring the legendary Lydia Lunch on YouTube - check it out!
Finally, if you'd like to get hold of Sean's unreleased mile high mix of The Human League's 1979 single Empire State Human (commissioned by Virgin Records), an mp3 is available here for a limited time. Enjoy!
