EX-RENTAL
vs CAROL MASTERS
|
|
Love
And Dancing [Nightclub People]
|
|
electroca$h
disco mix
|
|
|
| "Ex-Rental
score yet another remix bulls-eye on their overhaul of Love
and Dancing, adding their own ridiculous verses and
euro-vamp vocals to a ludicrously overblown club mix, with
the Carol Masters’ vocals relegated to a backing hook."
(quoted
from 100% Unnatural's review) |

| |
Sean's
first remix was this tongue-in-cheek mock 'electroca$h-in', complete
with curious new words and vocals, and a brand new tune. |
|
| |
Bearing
no resemblance whatsoever to the original
Love And Dancing (found on Carol
Masters' Universal Greeting Station album), this mix
was commissioned by US-based Souvenir
Records for the Carol Masters remix album, Re:Mastered,
which is out now. |

The
track has since been developed into a 100% Ex-Rental song containing
none of the Carol Masters samples. Titled Nightclub People,
it exists in multiple versions; Nightclub People [pas sérieux]
(The Hot Bedfellows' sinisterhandbag mix) is available on Electroclash
Volume 2, an alternate take features on the In: Version bonus EP with the Unpopular Pop
album, Nightclub People [fast] is available on last.fm,
and an mp3 of Nightclub People (kill the floor mix) has been released to members of the
Ex-Rental mailing list. |
